List of Quotes and Web References to Information on the Consumer Price Index
[Note: This list has disappeared, and I've been unable to track down its authorship or a replacement. - DF, July 6, 2001.]
The proper title of the commission was Advisory Commission to Study the Consumer Price Index, and its report is called Final Report to the Senate Finance Committee from the Advisory [etc.]. This is cumbersome, so I'll consistently refer to "the Boskin Commission" and to "the Boskin Report". I shall also speak at times of "the Boskin Proposals". In fairness to the other members of the commission, however, it should be pointed out that there are five authors: Michael J. Boskin, Ellen R. Dulberger, Robert J. Gordon, Zvi Griliches, and Dale Jorgenson.
